And I thought tonight was going to be uneventful. After falling asleep to The Big Fish at Joe's (Dee wasn't lying about the movie), I come home to find my roomies + Tyson (another regular Yolanda House visitor) playing a few rounds of foosball. (Is that how you spell that damn thing?) I was looking forward to going to sleep but I couldn't help it - I had to join in the fools' fun. Besides, it's Friday night and we have nothing else better to do. :-) Thank goodness for the weekends! Tons of laughter, laziness and laundry! Aw yeah! The simple things are oh so nice...
I say that in the midst of the beginning of the busiest shopping days of the year. It's hard to resist all the consumerism when you're close to people who work in the advertising and entertainment industry. I buy in every now and then but I'm still quite cynical from all the mess I learned in my business courses. It's still very difficult for someone to make me buy in to something...so that means no impulse buys for me, you bad, bad marketers. I love purchasing one of a kind items - things that remind you just how beautiful the world really is.
I'm looking forward to the rain this weekend. I love listening to the drops fall on the rooftop and hit the window and everything else outside. I love the clean, green smell after it's rained. The dark clouds moving across the sky makes me run for cover in my warm, comforting bed....bed...that's a good place to be right now...off to bed.
